It started with a childhood memory. And a dog named Elly May.

Up north, a trip to the hotdog shoppe was a family tradition. All-beef dogs smothered with the fixins. Hand-cut fries. Boxes full of dinner, brought home to share.

Now that memory is finding a new home in Gainesville. Named for a beloved rescue pup who came with seven puppies, Elly May’s is built around two things close to our founder’s heart: feeding people well and giving animals a second chance.
